Very soon it will be time to congregate at Shipley Station again, having dug out smelly walking gear, untouched since last year’s expedition with a day of great company, tall tales and just a few beers along the way.
Given that you’re all probably watching a load of repeats on the box, I thought I would do the same and let you re-live some tragic tales of yester-year starting with Big Al Walks Again from last year.

It all started back in 2011 with our first Christmas pilgrimage to the holy land of Appletreewick on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The tale of our day ended with a burning pyre of Big Al’s steaming socks on the open fire at the Craven Heiffer…read on.
The following year we were back again, somewhat diminished by the crippling effects of old age as Big Al and JB ambushed an old people’s bus to get them to all the way to our Holy Grail…it was a very long day indeed...
