It is no secret that this hoax of diversity has turned countless poor and marginalized White Americans into the biggest enemies of diversity in America. This negatively affects all diverse people who truly love and make important contributions to the American society.”

Just when you think that there can be nothing good about getting old, along comes a story that raises spirits and possibly much more too.
The impotence pill Viagra may be a useful treatment against Alzheimer’s disease, say US researchers who have been studying its effects in the brain. Tests in cells suggest the drug targets some of the proteins that accumulate in this type of dementia.
The BBC story went on to urge caution, doubtless hoping to avoid care homes full of men walking around with boners on just before bingo.
Tokenism
As if the mess at Yorkshire County Cricket Club could not get any more farcical, witness the sacking of the entire coaching staff last week by Chairman Lord Token.
Seeking to mollify the membership he announced soon after the appointment of a new Director of Cricket, Yorkshire and England’s Darren Gough.
Doubtless Lord Token will be hoping that the membership settle down now – “Ee thar’s a good lad our Darren!” – ignoring Gough’s lack of either coaching or management experience.
Since retiring from playing, the hugely likeable Gough has forged a career largely in the media. This is a high-stakes gamble, arguably a token appointment.
This week another select committee heard from local Asian players complaining of lack of facilities and inclusion. This is from a Yorkshire Post article.
…part of the issue was a lack of available facilities, sometimes requiring families to make an hour’s drive to get to a suitable ground as well as young Asian players switching clubs.
This is utter drivel; there is no shortage of clubs, indeed there are too many for a shrinking game. Also, many players switch clubs chasing money which is an undeniable factor of grassroots cricket. Loyalty died decades ago
Finally, so far as not feeling included, how many players – forget ethnicity – simply roll-up just before the game starts and are off in a flash as soon as it ends? Buy a raffle ticket? Not a price.
I’ve also made a formal complaint to the anonymous whistleblower line opened by Lord Token but, as I have nothing to hide, here it is.
As a volunteer junior coach in Bradford for over twenty years, I would like to complain about the blatant discrimination operated by the ECB South Asian plan. To pursue a strategy focused purely on ethnic background is as racist as one could imagine. Why is this permitted?
I was so disturbed by this I was forced to leave the game I once loved, feeling marginalised and that my efforts were pointless, despite being a club volunteer for almost fifty years. I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
I have yet to hear from YCCC one week on; perhaps I do not matter?
The Blusterer
I’m currently reading Andrew Marr’s A History Of Modern Britain and cannot believe that the Bulsterer is the best this country can muster. The bloke is simply a clown and the biggest tragedy of all is that the opposition is even worse.
Imagine back in 1939 that this idiot been in power to confront Hitler; it does not bear thinking about. The days of hoping a clownish appearance in costume and the odd sound-bite will suffice are long gone.
Part Of The Union
It was my last day driving for the dental oligarch this year and most likely my last ever, having attempted to unionise the workforce – of two – recently. I had secretly approached the other driver – Uncle Andy – to see if he was up for a strike and some picket action.
“But I’m happy!” protested the little man dismissive of my attempts to get free coffee, fruit pastilles and branded face-masks. So I set off for what might be a final tour of the dental surgeries of Yorkshire.
The airways were full, as ever, of opinion from Boris to cricket to all manner of issues; Classic FM kept me calm as the Leeds ring road ground to its usual gridlock. Meanwhile, nonsense flowed freely on the airwaves.
So many people with so much to say, so many radio hours to fill, but it struck me how little is actually said. A favourite of those from Shocked Sheila of Shrewsbury to bland Shadow Cabinet Ministers is: “Somebody should do something about it!”
When asked what, seldom do we get an idea of what “something” is or, indeed, “somebody” is.
Quantity and quality rarely slept well together.
Brian Kirby says
Couldn’t agree more Steve. 1939 could happen again as the marginalised white majority finally rise up against level wing inclusivity and wokeism. Far fetched? not so sure. Wait until we have Australian style detention centres for the unvaccinated who defy the mandatory vaccination diktat which will be the next thing the Blusteter attempts. It’s already happening in Nazi Austria and Farage is coming back into politics. Coincidence? Merry Christmas.

Radio 2, so little music, so much news, adverts of coming programs, past programs, traffic reports, chatter, guess the voice etc etc. Not forgetting the guest speakers as well.
Oh for some continuous music without the drivel !
